Unsere Chinchilla Bibliothek umfasst derzeit Zeit über 130 Chinchilla Bücher aus der ganzen Welt in englischer & deutscher Sprache. Weit über 300 Hefte & Magazine wie die Chinchilla-Post, Der Deutsche Pelztierzüchter, Fur and Feather, sowie the fur Journal & Chinchilla Gazette, Chinchilla World and Journal, Chinnews. Aber auch "Der praktische Tierarzt", Tierarzthelfer/in ( Die Zeitschrift für Tiermedizinische Fachangestellte ) , Kleintier Medizin Hefte enthält die Bibliothek.

Many of the books are no longer for sale in the average book shop, but searching internet stores like amazon will give you a good chance of finding some. Some of the books come from fur breeding organisations. We personnaly are not in favour of fur breeding farms, but the books do contain useful information about diet, health and breeding.

Der Begriff „Bibliothek“ wird nicht einheitlich verwendet. Er steht für eine öffentliche Einrichtung, für einen Ort, ein Gebäude, für eine geordnete und benutzbare Sammlung von Büchern und anderen publizierten Medien und Informationen, schließlich auch für eine solche Sammlung selbst. Während bis ins 20. Jahrhundert eine Bibliothek vor allem als Büchersammlung definiert wurde, lässt sie sich inzwischen nach Ewert und Walther Umstätter besser als „eine Einrichtung, die unter archivarischen, ökonomischen und synoptischen Gesichtspunkten publizierte Information für die Benutzer sammelt, ordnet und verfügbar macht“ definieren.[1] Die Bezeichnung Bibliothek wird gelegentlich auch für andere Informationssammlungen, wie Websites, Datenbanken oder einzelne Bücher bzw. Buchreihen benutzt. Auch der ausschließlich zum Aufbewahren und Lesen von Büchern genutzte Raum in einer Privatwohnung oder einem Privathaus heißt Bibliothek. Eine andere Bezeichnung für vor allem öffentliche, auch die Schulbibliotheken ist die Bücherei oder neuerdings auch die Mediathek. Bücherei ist eine Übersetzung von Philipp von Zesen für das Wort Bibliothek. In Hamburg wird auch der Begriff Bücherhalle verwandt. Quelle: Wikipedia |
